GhostSweat Contest Mechanics
This page is the player-facing breakdown of how GhostSweat works: currencies, contest tiers, Archetypes, scoring, and prize flow. It lives between the Lore and the Official Rules. If anything here ever conflicts with the Official Rules, the Official Rules control.
What GhostSweat Is
You play as a Ghost, drifting just above the live stream. You offer Sweat — your invisible energy — to tether yourself to real poker players. As they play, their actions compress that energy and table Variance into glowing crystal veins that fracture into Shards, briefly illuminating Souls that are paid out through fixed, pre-set sweepstakes prize tables.
GhostSweat is:
- Not gambling
- Not betting
- The game-layer of the story: Sweat → Shards → Souls
Dual-Currency System
- Revealed only via fixed sweepstakes prize tables.
- Cannot be purchased, sold, or traded.
- Redeemable only at a fixed rate of 5 Souls = $1.
- Unlocked by scoring in Contests.
- Feed cosmetics, Ghost auras, and Vault progression.
- Have no monetary or redemption value.
Contest Tiers · How Deep You Disturb the Echos
Each Contest tier pushes a different voltage of Sweat into the Echos. Prizes are fixed in Souls. Cracked crystals, Shard pops, and Sweat Back ensure every run leaves a mark on the Invisible World.
Invisible Contest
The smallest spark that still fractures the Echos.
Headline Souls
- 1st · Hero Harvest · 14 Souls burst out of a single fractured Shard.
- 2nd · 4 Souls from the fading Echo of the hand.
- 3rd · 2 Souls, a smaller but still visible shimmer in the Invisible lane.
Shard Trail & Sweat Back
- Shard Trail: 5 Souls total, paid as five 1-Soul Shard pops scattered across non-headline Ghosts — tiny crystal interrupts along the meter.
- Sweat Back: The band of Ghosts just outside the Soul spots receives 75 Sweat back, a soft rebound straight into another Invisible or up into an Echo.
- Floor Rewards: All remaining Ghosts still trigger Shard Charges that feed the Vault and long-term cosmetic unlocks. Even a blank slate leaves a mark.
Echo Contest
Your Sweat vibrates clearly through the Echos.
Headline Souls
- 1st · Echo Headliner · 45 Souls, a full-screen crystal rupture when your lineup spikes.
- 2nd · 10 Souls, strong resonance just below the top frequency.
- 3rd · 5 Souls, a controlled pull from the lingering Echo of the stream.
Shard Trail & Sweat Back
- Shard Trail: 15 Souls total, fired as fifteen 1-Soul Shard pops across the non-headline field — micro-flashes along your Shard meter.
- Sweat Back: A wide band of the middle of the field earns 250 Sweat back, half an Echo entry, perfect for bouncing between Echo and Invisible in a session.
- Floor Rewards: Every remaining Ghost stacks Shard Charges into the Vault for skins, glows, and profile flex — your account grows even on off nights.
Phantom Contest
Full-surge collisions inside the Echos.
Headline Souls
- 1st · Phantom Harvest · 160 Souls, a massive break where the Echos empty into your meter.
- 2nd · 45 Souls, a heavy Soul line just under the headline blast.
- 3rd · 20 Souls, a strong but clearly tiered-down hit that keeps the story about first place.
Shard Trail & Sweat Back
- Shard Trail: 25 Souls total, split into twenty-five 1-Soul pops woven through the middle of the field.
- Sweat Back: A generous middle band collects 1,250 Sweat back, half a Phantom entry, so a deep run without a Soul still keeps you in the high-voltage circuit.
- Floor Rewards: Everyone else feeds Shard Charges and Vault progression — Phantom runs imprint your account even when the Souls don’t fall your way.
Specter Contest
High-voltage disturbances that shake the Echos.
Headline Souls
- 1st · Specter Headline · 350 Souls, a rupture that feels like the Echos snap around your lineup.
- 2nd · 80 Souls, a massive pull that still sits clearly below the top blast.
- 3rd · 30 Souls, a real hit that keeps you hungry for the Specter headline next stream.
Shard Trail & Sweat Back
- Shard Trail: 40 Souls total, fired as forty 1-Soul Shard flashes throughout the non-headline field.
- Sweat Back: A meaningful slice of the remaining Ghosts earn 2,500 Sweat back, half a Specter entry, giving high-voltage grinders a controlled parachute on colder nights.
- Floor Rewards: Everyone else banks Specter-tier Shard Charges, cosmetics, and Vault progress. The Echos always leave a scar at this depth.
Souls are sweepstakes prizes awarded from fixed tables. See Official Rules for complete prize details and values.

As your Shard Points climb, spirit crystals strain, crack, and flare, increasing your chances to reveal Souls from the fixed tables. These visuals do not display odds — they show how “loud” the night feels inside the Invisible World.
Captain 2× Bonus
Rule: Your Captain earns 2× all Shard Points.
Lore-wise, this is the player your Ghost chooses to haunt the hardest. Mechanically, it’s your highest-impact decision: when your Captain runs pure, the entire crystal field explodes in your direction.
Three Steps for Haunting the Leaderboards
You never touch the cards. You never change the outcome. You just haunt: watching, tracking, waiting for Variance to swing in your favor.
In both story and rules, this is the moment where your energy starts colliding with Variance and the veins under the table begin to grow.
When the pressure peaks — a brutal river, a sick hero call, an all-in collision — the crystals crack. Shards flare, lighting up the Souls hidden in the Echos. Fixed prize tables decide which Souls were always waiting for your final score. Your job is to build the lineup that hits those fractures at the right time.
Prize Flow — From Shards to Souls
- You enter a Contest using Sweat (or via AMOE for Micro).
- Your lineup generates Shard Points through observable events.
- Your Captain’s Shard Points are doubled.
- Your final Shard total determines your leaderboard position.
- Your position maps to a tier in a fixed sweepstakes prize table.
- That tier reveals Souls, Sweat refunds, and/or cosmetic Shards.
| Leaderboard Finish | Souls Awarded | Approx. Value | Extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 250 Souls | $50 | + cosmetic Shards burst |
| 2nd | 150 Souls | $30 | + medium Shard burst |
| 3rd | 100 Souls | $20 | + light Shard burst |
| 4th–10th | 40 Souls each | $8 | + 25% Sweat refund |
| Top 20% | 10 Souls each | $2 | + 10% Sweat refund |
| All remaining entries | 0 Souls | $0 | + small Shard “thanks for Sweating” ping |
